1992年以来、初めてホンダのエンジンをパッケージングしたマクラレン MP4-30は2015年のフォーミュラ１チャンピオンシップでジェンソン・バトンとフェルナンド・アロンソに運転されました。2015年は、このウォキングを拠点とするチームに前回の任務完了から8年後にアロンソが復帰した年でもありました。 2014年シーズンのフィナーレにメルセデスとの20年間のパートナーシップを終了したマクラレンにとって、これは大きな方向転換であり、このスポーツ界に６シーズンも参加していなかったホンダにとっても大きな出来事でした。 *MP4-30は、より高い温度で、より条件の厳しい、狭い環境でも走行が可能になるホンダの新しいエンジンデザインにより可能になった、極細のリアエンドから、発表会をレポートしたThe Telegraph誌に、「サイズゼロ」という称号を付けられました。 MP4-30の最高の結果はハンガリーグランプリでアロンソが獲得した５位でした。 チームは最終的にチャンピオンシップで９位になりました。 マクラレン MP4-30 のこの超精密な1:8スケールモデルは、マクラレンの設計部門から直接供給された色と材質の詳細仕様、オリジナルCADデータを活用してワークショップで職人により丁寧に手作業で作られ、仕上げられました。 さらに、正確な再現性を保証するためにエンジニアリングおよびデザインチーム両方から精査を受けています。
