The partnership will combine perfect Amalgam models with an Automobilist artwork, together delivering the essence of a moment in time.
Amalgam and Automobilist already offer a number of works relating to the same iconic cars from the history of Formula 1, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Mille Miglia and the Targa Florio. With this new and closer partnership, we look forward to deeper collaborations with Automobilist, to develop pairings of beautiful art prints with perfect models, that together capture even more powerfully, some of the most iconic moments in race history.

Who are Automobilist?
Automobilist is a multi-disciplinary, award-winning design studio with a highly-skilled team dedicated to designing all things automotive. Its team of artists and creative thinkers, automotive enthusiasts and perfectionists are much like the team at Amalgam, determined to continually pushing the boundaries for their art. They use innovative techniques and artistry to re-energise inspiring motor racing moments into premium artworks.
With Brand Ambassadors such as Sir Jackie Stewart, David Coulthard and André Lotterer and key partnerships, including McLaren, Mercedes AMG Petronas, Porsche, Maserati and Formula 1 to name a few, both Automobilist and Amalgam now have the have the pleasure of working with a common set of flagship brands in the motor industry and motor sport world.
How are the prints made?
Every image Automobilist create is based on a real-life historical event, with the aim to capture the moment from a fresh perspective using the wonders of modern technology. To ensure accuracy, research is conducted over weeks to piece each detail together and ensure it is accurate. Once the concept is established, the artists set to work creating a 3D model using CGI. Studying every piece of reference material available, the artists essentially build a car from scratch, slowly constructing layer upon layer of detail – even down to the correct number of coats of paint. Automobilist's attention to detail means an average of 1000 hours is devoted to rebuilding each vehicle. A single image requires approximately 2-3 months of craft, with a team of 8 highly talented individuals, and up to 50 cast and crew members. See part of the process for yourself in the video below.
