For our development and model build teams it's been a busy year, with a stream of new edition model developments and unique projects undertaken. Here is a summary of the new models launched in 2024.

Modern GT
Starting with one of our most striking models of the year: the McLaren Senna in Senna Sempre Livery. McLaren Automotive’s unique tribute to the life and legacy of Ayrton Senna, with its vibrant Brazilian inspired livery as unveiled before the Monaco Grand Prix in May. McLaren and the Senna family were both the recipients of one of these strictly limited models.
Following the creation of the unique 1:8 scale Ferrari 812 Competizione donated to the Ferrari Foundation in 2023, we were excited to bring this special art car edition to our collectors at 1:18 scale. The first models in this limited edition were delivered last month, with further batches anticipated in early 2025.
September saw the release of Ferrari’s new two-seater Berlinetta, the 12Cilindri. The car’s sophisticated, sculptural design, inspired by the Ferrari Gran Turismo cars of the 1950s and ‘60s was masterfully captured in 1:8 scale form.
Two limited editions of the newest McLaren supercar, the 750S, in both its coupe and convertible form were also launched this year at 1:8 scale. The coupe, finished in a striking Ludus Blue with a sleek all black interior, was revealed in June, with the Spider variant, in McLaren's signature Papaya Spark with a minimalistic yet bold Carbon and Papaya interior, following in October.
Early in the year saw the introduction of the Ferrari Roma Spider at 1:8. Featured in its launch specification with a Celeste Trevi exterior paint scheme, this model’s timelessly elegant design captures the distinctive flair and style of 1950s and 60s Rome.
The first road-legal XX cars in Maranello’s history, the Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale and Spider, were replicated at 1:8 scale in the first half of the year. We captured every aspect of the extreme but functional design of the Stradale, precisely replicated in its Rosso Corsa launch car specification, and the Spider, finished in Argento Nürburgring with Flash Orange accents.
Modern Motorsport
A hugely anticipated project, our first models of Ferrari’s 2023 Le Mans Hyperpole-earning and race-winning entries at 1:8 scale were finished early in the year to much acclaim. An unsurprisingly popular model, we have been long inundated with orders for both the #51 and #50, with an order book continuing into 2025. Our 1:18 scale model of the same car was revealed in the build up to the 2024 race, and has since been our top selling model of the year. We were excited to add to this burgeoning collection at the start of December with the introduction of our first ever non-Formula 1 steering wheel edition, exactly recreating the wheel used by Pier Guidi, Calado and Giovinazzi.
After Ferrari’s second successive victory at Le Mans, our 499P collection continued to grow, with the introduction of the 2024 winning #50 Hypercar at 1:8 scale, as raced by Molina, Fuoco and Nielsen. Models of the sister #51 and yellow-liveried AF Corse #83 are soon to be finished in early 2025.
Ferrari’s success of course was not limited to endurance racing. It was an incredibly competitive 2024 season for the Scuderia: five wins, split three to Leclerc and two to the outward-bound Sainz, kept them competitive to the end, only missing out on the Constructors’ title by 14 points. Our first 1:8 scale edition of the year was based on that first win at the Australian Grand Prix, which Sainz won despite having had surgery for appendicitis just two weeks prior.
In successive weeks in September, we revealed our edition at 1:18 scale and the season’s full size steering wheel replica, based on the wheel of Leclerc.
In October, we released a special 1:8 scale edition depicting the SF-24 in its special HP Partner livery, as raced by the team at the Miami Grand Prix. Featuring two colours from Ferrari’s past: Azzurro La Plata and Azzurro Dino, these striking models were also revealed in 1:18 scale form just two weeks ago.
The car that started a remarkable recovery: the McLaren MCL60 may not have seen victory in 2023 against a supremely dominant Max Verstappen, but the groundwork it laid led to McLaren’s phenomenal Constructors’ Championship this season. Early in the year, we launched a precise full size steering wheel replica of the wheel used by Norris and Piastri.
July saw the release of three different liveried versions at 1:8 scale: the special Chrome-partnership livery that raced at the British Grand Prix, the Triple Crown livery that competed at Monaco, and the Papaya, black and blue season livery that saw the podium in Hungary.
At the beginning of December, we revealed the Ferrari F1-89 at 1:18 scale, as raced by Nigel Mansell and Gerhard Berger during the 1989 British Grand Prix. Just our third classic Formula 1 model at 1:18 scale, this is the first edition of Amalgam models to feature Mansell and Berger at this scale.
Classics
A particular favourite of the team in Bristol, we were excited to reveal the Aston Martin DB5 at 1:18 scale at the start of the year. Presented in the iconic Silver Birch, this is one of our top selling models of 2024.
One of the most complex projects of the last twelve months was the Maserati 250F. A faithfully detailed replica of the car driven to a legendary victory by Juan Manual Fangio at the 1957 German Grand Prix, this model features a fully detailed engine bay under a removeable cover. We were delighted to reveal this model in July after a fully researched and extensive development process to ensure the complete accuracy of the replica.
In August, we unveiled a very special edition of ten Race Weathered Porsche 917Ks at 1:8 scale, showing the car with every detail of the battle scars and race dirt after its victory in the hands of Pedro Rodriguez and Jackie Oliver at Daytona in 1971. Meticulously hand-painted and detailed in Bristol, the first model in this edition has been delivered.
Not that the 917 was the only race weathered Gulf-liveried project this year. Two months prior, we revealed the 1969 Le Mans Ford GT40 at 1:18 scale, exactly capturing the car after its victory in the hands of Jacky Ickx and Jackie Oliver. Our race weathered editions continue to be well admired.
Early 2024 saw the inaugural “Man and Machine edition”, introducing proportionately scaled driver figures of some of the most famous and influential drivers in history alongside their equally famed cars. Sculpted by our partner studio based in Venice, Italy, the first edition was limited to just five models of the Bugatti Type 59, accompanied by a standing figure of Jean Pierre Wimille. This edition has since sold out, and we have many more ideas under discussion, including the already announced Porsche 550 RS James Dean Figure Edition. Look out for significant announcements in early 2024.
Marking a new level of detail at 1:18 scale, our models of the Bugatti Type 59, as raced by Nuvolari at the 1934 Monaco Grand Prix, have utilised our deep knowledge and the extensive data we researched and collected for the development of our outstanding model at 1:8 scale to create an extraordinarily detailed model.
A very busy April saw the introduction of three new classic editions at 1:18 scale; the first of which was the McLaren F1 LM. Built using CAD designs developed from a scan of original chassis LM3, each 24cm model was finished in Papaya.
Soon after, we revealed the first in the edition of Jaguar D-type models, as raced to victory by Duncan Hamilton and Ivor Bueb at the 1956 Reims 12 Hours. This is the first racing Jaguar edition of models we have recreated at 1:18 scale.
The next week, we launched three editions of the Lamborghini Muira in Arancia, Verde and Giallo. Whilst this was not completely a new model for us, the introduction of multiple colour options was a first at 1:18 scale.
Aluminium Body Replica
A significant release for us this year was the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa Aluminium Body Replica at 1:4 scale. Celebrating the art of carrosserie and the very skilled process of panel-beating, each piece has been created from aluminium sheet by our skilled craftsman using traditional methodology, forming the panels with a hammer over a buck, exactly as the original full-size bodies were created by artists of the craft such as Scaglietti, Pininfarina, Touring and Zagato.

We revealed the first in our edition of DH.98 Mosquito models at the start of July, faithfully replicating FB.VI HX922 as it was fatefully piloted by Group Captain Percy Pickard and navigator Flight Lieutenant John Broadley at the commencement of Operation Jericho on the 18th of February 1944 at 1:16 scale. Strictly limited to an edition of just ten pieces, half the edition has now been sold. We have also completed the development of the B-17F Flying Fortress ‘Memphis Belle’ late in the year and are excited to show you imagery in early 2025.
Fine Art Editions
Our collaboration with artist and photographer Alan Thornton continues to grow, this year producing a new Fine Art Edition for the Ford GT40. Created in partnership with Ford and Gulf International, each Fine Art Print depicts a precise and vibrant side profile of the 24 Hours of Le Mans winning car driven by Jackie Ickx and Jackie Oliver in 1969. A new collaboration with a major British manufacturer is soon set to be revealed, so listen out for more news in 2025.
Tailor Made Highlights
Our Tailor Made service is receiving more requests than ever, and one of our particular highlights this year was exclusive model of the Aston Martin AMR23 at 1:5 scale. Commissioned as a unique build for one of our clients in Australia, this enormous art piece was handcrafted by our incredible artisans in Bristol to perfectly replicate the car as raced to third position by Fernando Alonso at the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix on the 5th of March 2023.
Another favourite of the team was a series of 1:8 scale models commissioned by Jaguar TCS Racing. These models of the I TYPE 6 at 1:8 scale, in both Evans' and Cassidy's distinctive inverted liveries, would be all the more significant as the team would later seal the ABB FIA Formula E Teams’ World Championship at the final race in London. We're sure these models will now proudly sit on display at Jaguar's offices for many years!
