A Unique Collection of Artworks celebrating an iconic design

We are pleased to launch a new collection of artworks by Alan Thornton, this time capturing the iconic Jaguar E-type Series 1 Coupe and Roadster. This is the most recent collection of work by Alan Thornton in collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover Classic, following closely on the heels of our Series Land Rover collection released a few weeks ago.

Often hailed as the most beautiful production road car of all time, the sublime Jaguar E-type Series 1 stirred passions in automotive aficionados the world over when launched at the Geneva Salon in 1961. Allegedly described by Enzo Ferrari as ‘the most beautiful car ever made’, the E-type became an iconic symbol of the 1960s and was particularly successful in the American market.

Alan's Half Tone artwork brings his traditional approach to screen printing into the contemporary digital world, spraying UV-cured inks directly on to the brushed aluminium composite panels, to create art that captures the subject with a virtually 3D level of depth and presence. Prints are available at 85 x 60 centimetres (33 x 24 inches) and limited to just 200 copies per edition.
