Our collection of Formula 1 full-size steering wheel replicas expands significantly this month, as we have finished the development of our current 2022 season projects: the McLaren MCL36 and Ferrari F1-75 steering wheels. Also available are full scale replicas of the F2004, F2007 and F2008, as well as a miniature F1-75 steering wheel at 1:4 scale.
10 Years of the McLaren P1
Ten years ago, at the Mondial de l’Automobile in Paris, McLaren Automotive previewed their first Ultimate Series car as a design study: the McLaren P1. A spiritual successor to the McLaren F1, the McLaren P1 was designed, engineered and built to be the best driver’s car in the world, pushing boundaries further than any of its rivals.

Shmee150 Collects His Bespoke McLaren Senna
We were delighted to have Tim Burton, aka Shmee150, visit the Bristol workshop again, as he returned to collect his bespoke model order. Tim has been a big admirer of Amalgam models, dreaming of owning a scale replica for a long time, and he chose to start his collection with a bespoke version of the most powerful car he owns, the McLaren Senna.

Amalgam were delighted to welcome our good friend and client Shmee150 to the Bristol workshop this afternoon. Tim was here to take a look behind the scenes as we begin the assembly stage of the bespoke build of his McLaren Senna. Tim was incredibly excited to visit, after being a huge fan of our models for a number of years.
Amalgam Model the Prize for McLaren Japan Track Event
Amalgam's official agent for Japan, Kiyotaka Tamamushi-san, was our representative at McLaren Japan's track event at the Fuji International Speedway. Bruno Senna presented the victor with an Amalgam model of Ayrton Senna's McLaren MP4/4, as raced to victory at the 1988 Japanese Grand Prix Senna, claiming the first of Senna's his three world titles. Other Amalgam models of McLaren cars, such as the Vision GT concept and the Senna, were prominently displayed around the venue.
