Formula 1 Model Developments

With the F1 summer break firmly pressing the pause button on one of the tightest Championship contests in many seasons, every avid follower of F1 is waiting to see if Lewis Hamilton can maintain the advantage or if Max Verstappen will regain the top spot. Ahead of this interlude, we'd like to share a progress report on the development of our current season and historic Formula 1 car models.

Mercedes W11 at 1:18 scale

Mercedes W11 at 1:18 scale

The Mercedes-AMG F1 W11 EQ Performance was conceived to make history: to lead the team to an unparalleled seventh consecutive FIA Formula One Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championship double. An edition limited to just 500 pieces, our models at 1:18 scale are the perfect homage to the fastest car in Formula 1 history. All three driver variants are now available to pre-order, with a replica of George Russell's appearance for the Silver Arrows at the Sakhir Grand Prix* added to the W11 model line-up, alongside Lewis Hamilton's and Valtteri Bottas' Portuguese Grand Prix specification race cars.

Ferrari SF21

Ferrari SF21 at 1:8 Scale

Piloted by Monegasque racer Charles Leclerc and Spaniard Carlos Sainz Junior, Scuderia Ferrari’s youngest driver line-up since 1968, the SF21 has already earned a similar number of the points to the team’s tally for 2020. We are now accepting pre-orders for 1:8 scale models of the SF21, with a view to deliver the first batches towards the end of this year. Meanwhile, customers can now register their interest on our website, putting them first in line when the 1:18 Amalgam model of the SF21 and our spectacular 1:1 scale replica steering wheel become available later this year. Both driver variants will be offered at 1:8 and 1:18 scale.

McLaren MCL35M

McLaren MCL35M at 1:8 Scale

In the hands of Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo, one of the most competitive line-ups in the sport, the McLaren MCL35M is an evolution of the MCL35, the car that helped the team to third in the Constructors’ Championship in 2020 and its best performance in eight years. We are proud to be building editions of the MCL35M at both 1:8 and 1:18 scale in the iconic Gulf livery as raced at the Monaco Grand Prix. This evocative livery is one of the most recognisable and admired motorsport liveries of all time, and its presence on the MCL35M recalls McLaren's racing successes with Gulf, that began with team founder Bruce McLaren. We are now accepting pre-orders for 1:8 scale models of the MCL35M, with delivery in the early months of 2022. Customers can now register their interest to be first in line when the 1:18 scale model becomes available.

Along with the 1:8 and 1:18 models, we are also creating a detailed 1:12 scale replica nosecone in the regular season livery as it was raced at Imola. Customers can also get in line by registering their interest in this model on our website.

Red Bull RB16B

Red Bull RB16B at 1:8 Scale

The car looking to deliver a first championship title since 2013, the Red Bull Racing Honda RB16B is playing a vital role in making 2021 one of the most exciting in years. With six wins already achieved, we are delighted to be creating 1:8 scale versions of Max Verstappen's Monaco dominating car, and Sergio Perez's Azerbaijan winning car, both already well on in development. We anticipate strong demand for these models, regardless of which way the Championship fight falls, and we are now accepting pre-orders for delivery in the early months of 2022.

McLaren MP4-23

McLaren MP4-23 at 1:8 scale

We are excited to announce the immediate availability of a new batch of fine 1:8 scale models of the car that secured Lewis Hamilton's first ever World Drivers' title. Based on the car driven by Hamilton during an incredibly dramatic last race of the season in Brazil, the MP4-23 was victorious in six races: five with Hamilton and a single win in the hands of Heikki Kovalainen at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
