A New Era Dawns

Formula 1 Returns

Formula 1 returns this weekend and we are looking forward to an exciting weekend with completely new machinery on track. Only three months after the emotional and controversial events at Abu Dhabi, the 2022 season sees the introduction of radically different cars meeting the new FIA technical regulations, new driver line-ups and a longer race calendar than ever before. The radical new rules are designed to bring more exciting racing straight out of the box, and provide a clean design slate for the teams, heralding a new era in Formula 1. Every regulations overhaul is an opportunity to upset the established hierarchy, so with Mercedes and Red Bull having the most to lose, there is no doubt that every driver and team can smell opportunity. Predictions are varied and, though it may be an F1 cliché, a true picture will only begin to emerge after the first few races. We can’t wait for the green lights!

Below we share our most recent news and plans regarding our Formula 1 models.

Formula 1 Concept 2022 Sculpture

Formula 1 Concept 2022 Sculpt

Capture the regulations of the new season with our sculpture of the Formula 1 Concept 2022 car, built in collaboration with the Formula 1 Group. Each sculpture is hand cast, hand finished, primed, plated in aluminium and finally clear lacquered and polished. The sculpture comes with a booklet containing details of the rule changes and their impact on the car design, all enclosed in a beautiful presentation box. Available to view in 3D and augmented reality on our website.

McLaren MCL35M

McLaren MCL35M

Demand has been enormous for our models of the McLaren MCL35M. The entire first batch of 1:18 scale models in the Gulf livery has sold out, with orders outpacing our batch build plan. The next batch of models is programmed for April and we encourage customers interested in reserving one of these limited-edition models to register their interest with us as soon as possible.

The first 1:8 scale models are currently on their way to McLaren for display and commercial purposes, and we will soon be fulfilling customer orders. We hope to share imagery for the 1:8 scale with you within the next couple of weeks. We are accepting orders for future batches of the 1:8 scale, along with our 1:12 scale nosecone replica of the Imola Grand Prix car.

We have only one remaining Lewis Hamilton model at 1:4 scale left unclaimed, and fewer than five Full Size Steering Wheel replicas are available.
