From the Renaissance period onwards, masterpieces were designed, painted and sculpted in Italy, that to this day transcend their mere presence as objects and evoke emotions that connect to the viewer on a personal level. The vast majority of these art objects are stationary; however, during a brief period in the 1950s, beauty and function connected in select Italian sports cars, transforming them into moving art.

Our Aluminium Body Replicas celebrate the art of carrosserie and the very skilled process of panel-beating, fully expressing the artistry and raw beauty of the body at a quarter the size of the original works. Each piece has been created from aluminium sheet by a skilled craftsman using traditional methodology, forming the panels with a hammer over a buck, exactly as the original full-size bodies were created by artists of the craft such as Scaglietti, Pininfarina, Touring and Zagato. The bucks over which each replica body is formed are machined using extremely accurate data, from digital scans of significant original cars. The investment in skilled man hours is significant, and so each piece will be made to order.

Since modelling Ralph Lauren’s Ferrari 250 GTO back in 2009, as each year goes by, we’ve fallen ever more in love with the perfect form and beauty of the body of this most important Ferrari icon. The form of the 250 GTO represents more than any other the quintessence of the Ferrari brand in the collective imagination. The longer you look and the deeper you go into every detail, the more perfect is the outcome of the creative work by Bizzarini, Forghieri and probably most importantly regarding the body, the finalisation of the design by Scaglietti.

We have created several perfectly detailed models of the car at 1:8, but to fully honour the beauty of the body form we have now created a hand hammered aluminium replica of the 250 GTO body at a quarter the size of the original.

The 250 Testa Rossa represents the pinnacle of this era as a true masterpiece of moving sculpture. Never before or since has an incredible combination of beauty and power led to as much on-track success and art-inspired emotion as with the 250 Testa Rossa. Driven by Scuderia Ferrari during five World Championship years from 1957-1962, the Testa Rossa will forever be known as the most successful sports racing model in Ferrari’s history, and the “pontoon fender” body style as the most beautiful version of the Testa Rossa, the greatest expression of automotive art to come out of Maranello.

Each replica has been rolled and beaten from aluminium sheet using traditional carrosserie skills, forming the panels by hand and then test fitting them over a ‘trellis’, exactly as the original full-size bodies were created by Carozzerie Scaglietti in 1957.

The trellis over which the body is shaped, has been machined using extremely accurate data from a digital scan of a significant original Pontoon Fender 250 Testa Rossa. The investment in skilled man hours is significant, and so each piece will be made to order.

- During the second month, Splitit requests authorisation for the outstanding purchase amount of £1,500, and charges the customer the second installment of £500.
- This authorisation and charge process continues until the full £2,000 is collected - in this case, for 4 months.

Nothing, no credit check is required if you use a Splitit instalment plan and there is no impact on your credit score. All the bank sees is the individual instalment charges each month. If one of your payment authorisations is declined, there is still no affect on your credit rating; it is simply a declined charge. The denial would simply accelerate payment of the remaining balance (unless you provide a different card which was not denied).

The instalments appear on your statement as individual charge items with the name of 'Amalgam Collection'. These payments will appear monthly according to your instalment plan, with the same charge amount each time.
