Amalgam were delighted to welcome our good friend and client Shmee150 to the Bristol workshop on Tuesday. Tim was here to take a look behind the scenes as we begin the assembly stage of the bespoke build of his McLaren Senna. Tim was incredibly excited to visit, after being a huge fan of our models for a number of years. Tim claimed to be "like a kid in a candy store" as investigated the workshop, admiring the completed and progressing models scattered throughout the room, taking a particular fancy to the "work of art" that was the newly race-weathered Ferrari 250TR 'Lucybelle II' and the McLaren F1 LM and the intricate detail of its headsets.
Our model makers rather artistically laid out the 1000+ pieces of the build so Tim could see the complexity that goes into every model before describing the Amalgam processes to his millions of followers. Tim's 'Shmeemobile' is a distinctive Cerulean Blue with a Satin Blue carbon fiber and, once completed, will be the centrepiece of his new garage.
Tim will be returning in a few months to pick up his finished model and we are very much looking forward to welcoming him back to Bristol.
