Ferrari F1-75
We are proud to reveal the photoshoot of the first finalised 1:5 scale model of the Ferrari F1-75, as raced to victory by Charles Leclerc in the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix on the 20th of March 2022. Each model measures in excess of 1.12 metres (43 inches) long, and the special edition is strictly limited to just 50 pieces.
Following detailed scrutiny by the engineering and design teams at Ferrari, our first model has received unanimous praise and approval. Delivery of the models is scheduled towards the middle of the year, and 40 of the 50 pieces have already sold to a significant partner of Amalgam. We anticipate that the remaining pieces will sell quickly and recommend that customers register their interest as soon as possible to reserve one of the 10 models available.
This edition of very large scale models was developed to meet the requirements of the Scuderia Ferrari Team and their official partners and sponsors. The model celebrates Ferrari’s win in Bahrain, their first win and 1-2 finish since the 2019 Singapore Grand Prix. In the first qualifying sessions of the new aerodynamics era of Formula 1, Leclerc took an impressive pole position 0.123 seconds ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, whilst Sainz started from third, setting a time just 0.006 seconds slower than the Dutchman.
All three drivers maintained their positions through the opening laps, Leclerc holding off Verstappen’s repeated advances. The first round of pit stops triggered a three-lap battle, in which Verstappen took the lead three separate times. In the end the resilient Leclerc held on to his lead after Verstappen locked up into Turn 1. A late safety car bunched the pack back together but any concerns were soon pushed aside as the Monegasque driver tore off into the distance at a pace which Verstappen, now nursing a steering issue, simply could not challenge.
