Built using original drawings and archive photographs supplied from Mercedes-Benz and measuring over 53 cms (20 inches) long.
Precisely replicating the car as raced to victory by Rudolf Caracciola in the Mille Miglia on the 12th and 13th of April 1931 at 1:8 scale.
Before 1931, the notoriously difficult and prestigious road was won exclusively by Italian drivers piloting Italian machinery. Rudolf Caracciola however broke this mould with his victorious 1931 Mercedes-Benz SSKL privateer entry, achieving an average speed of 101.1 kilometres per hour at full throttle in the race from Brescia to Rome and back, an average speed that no driver had ever achieved before at the race.
