We are delighted to present to you a first look at our completed Mercedes-AMG F1 W11 EQ Performance models at the enormous 1:4 scale. Measuring in excess of 125cm (49 inches) long, this edition’s development is owed to great demand from the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, their official partners and sponsors, as well as the fantastic support we received from our own partners The Memento Group.
Replicating Hamilton’s race winning #44 car at the Portuguese GP on the 25th of October 2020, the 1:4 scale replica precisely captures every technical detail of the car, and the sleek all-black livery, created following Mercedes’ public pledge to support the global movement against racism, and improve the diversity of the team.

The first in our batch of our Mercedes-AMG F1 W11 EQ Performance models at 1:4 scale has been completed, and we are thrilled to be able to share a glimpse behind the scenes of the artisans in our Bristol workshop building these phenomenal display pieces. A special edition of just seven pieces, these models are being crafted to celebrate Lewis Hamilton’s record-equalling seven World Drivers’ Championships, one for each title-winning year.

Just seven hand-crafted 1:4 scale models bearing the number 44 will be built, celebrating Lewis Hamilton’s record-equalling seven World Drivers’ Championships, one for each title-winning year. The 2020 Portuguese Grand Prix will be remembered most as the moment when Hamilton overtook Michael Schumacher to become Formula One’s most successful driver of all time, with 92 race wins.
Two more 1:4 editions are in development at Amalgam. The Valtteri Bottas and George Russell editions will each be limited to five pieces. The Russell edition will be detailed with the livery that the #63 car carried at the Formula 1 Rolex Sakhir Grand Prix 2020. With the recent news that Russell is to partner Hamilton next season, interest in the 23-year-old British driver is soaring, and Amalgam have already received a deposit for the first model in this edition from a client in China.
Every W11 model is hand-built and assembled by small teams of craftspeople across our global workshops. The model has been developed in collaboration with The Memento Group and with the assistance of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, who supplied original CAD designs and paint codes. Every model has undergone detailed scrutiny by the team, features a certificate of its authenticity, and is delivered mounted on a carbon fibre or an acrylic base, with a polished metal plaque, protected by an acrylic dust cover.
