We are proud to reveal the full and detailed photoshoot of our completed 1:8 scale model of the Ferrari Daytona SP3. After over 4000 hours of development and over 400 hours of casting, fitting, fettling, painting and building, our prototype model of the Daytona SP3 has received full approval from the Ferrari design team following a deep exploration into the fine interior and flawlessly sculpted exterior details.
Our initial batches have been pre-ordered, many destined for Ferrari dealerships for exhibition to current and prospective Ferrari owners. Designed to pay homage to Ferrari’s mid-rear-engine V12s that earned the marque its unparalleled motorsport status, the Daytona SP3 encapsulates the spirit of the prototypes from the 1960’s golden era of closed wheel racing. Becoming the second car to join Ferrari’s ‘Icona’ series after the Monza series, the V12 two-seater car is a futuristic interpretation of the classic sport prototipo and is fuelled by the memories of the spectacular 1-2-3 result for Ferrari in the 24 Hours of Daytona race during the 1967 World Sports Car Championship.
At the heart of the Daytona SP3 lies its F140HC, the most powerful internal combustion engine that Ferrari has ever built, and quite possibly the last of Ferrari’s naturally-aspirated power units. With an ability to reach 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 2.85 seconds and 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) in just 7.4 seconds, alongside a maximum speed of 211 (340 km/h), it is evident that this car has been imbued with the essence of Ferrari's racing spirit.
This essence has also been deeply incorporated into the car's architecture, with the intent of creating harmony between the driver and the car. The Icona series is design-driven, celebrating Ferrari’s history by reinterpreting the styling of the marque’s most iconic cars to radically modern effect. Our model encapsulates the form and functionality of the car complete with opening doors and engine cover, allowing inspection of the extraordinary interior details.

An absolutely stunning model at 1:4 scale
The 1:8 scale is not the only Daytona SP3 project we have under development. We are delighted to announce a 1:4 scale model of the SP3's 6496cc V12 F140HC engine and accompanying seven-speed gearbox. The project is at an advanced stage, and we look forward to sharing images of the finished prototype with you very soon. The Icona Series is both a homage to Ferrari’s tradition, and an embrace of its future, blending the most innovative engineering and technology, with exterior designs that capture the essence of legendary Ferraris of the past. The Series has already drawn inspiration from the iconic Ferraris of the 1950s in the Monza SP1 and SP2, and the illustrious Golden age cars of the 1960s in the Daytona SP3.
