New Amalgam Development - Ford GT40 - 1969 Le Mans Winner

Amalgam are thrilled to announce that the Ford GT40 is currently being developed at 1:8 scale. The first in a planned series of models, the new addition will be the GT40, chassis #1075, that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans two years running in 1968 and 1969. Initially launching in its iconic 1969 Gulf livery, the #6 car, driven by Jacky Ickx and Jackie Oliver, recorded the closest finish in the history of Le Mans, ending the race just 120 metres ahead of the pursuing Porsche 908 of Hans Herrmann and Gerard Larrousse.

The current target date for release is April. Photos of the Ford approved prototype model will be shared in the next couple of months. We anticipate strong demand for the GT40 so it is recommended that you get onto the wait list by registering your interest today.
