Red Bull Racing Honda RB16B - Abu Dhabi Edition
We are delighted to reveal the Red Bull Racing Honda RB16B at 1:8 scale, as raced by Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez at the season-defining 2021 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This edition of models, limited to 99 pieces per driver, precisely captures the cars that delivered the first ever Dutch Formula 1 World Champion in Max Verstappen and a first World Drivers’ Championship to Red Bull Racing since 2013. Our finished sample models were approved by the design and engineering teams at Red Bull Racing after a deep dive into all the details to ensure complete accuracy of representation and we now have models available for purchase right away. We recommend ordering early to avoid disappointment.
The edition of RB16B models necessitated over 2500 hours of development and the resulting prototype only received the approval of the Red Bull Racing designers and engineers once they were fully satisfied with its accuracy of representation. Measuring over 69 centimetres (27 inches) long, each subsequent model took 250 hours to cast, fit, fettle, paint and assemble, as our team of artisans focused on ensuring that every minute detail was accurately depicted.
The 2021 FIA Formula 1 World Championship season was one of the tightest and most contentious seasons ever recorded, with several flashpoints during a bitter season-long contest between Verstappen and his title rival Lewis Hamilton. Red Bull Racing took the fight to the hybrid-era dominating Mercedes and, though the Milton Keynes-based team would ultimately be unsuccessful in its Constructors’ title aspirations, Verstappen would emerge victorious against the reigning Drivers’ Champion Hamilton in the most dramatic of fashions.
The contenders arrived in Abu Dhabi level on points for a winner takes all showdown. Teammate Sergio Perez’s heroic tactical defending helped Verstappen keep in touch with Hamilton, whose pace advantage on the day was undeniable. However, in an ending fit for this most chaotic and captivating of seasons, a late Safety Car period was necessitated after the Williams of Nicholas Latifi crashed into the wall, allowing the Dutch racer to pit again and attack Hamilton on much fresher tyres on the very last lap of the entire season. Verstappen passed at Turn 5 to close out victory and, with it, the 2021 World Drivers’ Championship title.

Turkish Grand Prix
In lieu of a Japanese Grand Prix, Red Bull honoured engine supplier Honda with a special livery in Turkey, ultimately scoring a double podium for the third time with Honda power. Only five #33 Verstappen and eight #11 Pérez models remain in this edition.
Azerbaijan Grand Prix
In Baku Pérez took his first victory as a Red Bull driver, surviving a late-race battle with the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton, after a red flag restart brought about by a dramatic puncture that deprived Max Verstappen of an almost certain victory.
